The Award Winning and Patented Injury Prevention and Injury Management System. Chameleon Consultants Pty Ltd is a company that was formed in 1990 to deliver a range of human services to both the industry and government sectors. This company has staff with vast experience in many fields such as Psychology, Rehabilitation Case Management, Exercise Physiology, Education and Training, and Business Management to name a few. Since 1997 Chameleon has concentrated the efforts of its various staff on developing a cohesive Injury Prevention System to match its acknowledged expertise in Injury Management and Rehabilitation. The result is the comprehensive near Zero™ program that was awarded a gold medal for work place safety in Tasmania in 2000 for our client, Pipers Brook Vineyards. In all, the initial companies that used the near Zero™ Program, with 1000 workers involved, have saved over $1 million in injury costs over a two year period. They also gained the additional benefits of better productivity amongst workers and less absenteeism, all improving the "bottom line" performance of their businesses. Workers were fitter for the job they were employed to perform and knew how to perform their job in a manner that would prevent injury to themselves. near Zero™ starts with assessing the inherent requirements of a particular job, translates this into an assessment of each individual worker, and then trains that worker to improve their fitness and technique in performing their duties. Given the information that is then available about each worker and the work place, injury management becomes a much easier and straight forward process, if an injury still occurs. near Zero™ is now a proven and patented system that can be customised to any workplace, it is highly cost effective, and most importantly improves the overall profitability of the companies installing this system. |
